CURB of Macau assumes the Presidency of the Greater Bay Area Urban Designers Alliance
 
CURB – Center for Architecture and Urbanism officially assumed the presidency of the Greater Bay Area Urban Designers Alliance (GBAUDA) during a handover ceremony held on 24 June at CURB Headquarters in Macau.
 
The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership from the Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen and to CURB of Macau over the next two years, and places Macau at the centre of a regional network dedicated to advancing urban design excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration. 
 
Established to foster dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in urban design and planning, the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Alliance brings together leading professional institutions from across the region. 

The Alliance was established in 2010, and the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design was the first President in 2010-2012. Guangzhou Urban Planning Association and Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen were the 2nd and 3rd Presidents.
 
The handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Alliance's member organisations, including Mr Sima Xiao, Former President of the Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen and Chief Planner of Shenzhen Urban Planning & Design Institute, Ms Tang Shan, Vice General Secretary of President of the Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen; and Ms Li Xiaoshu, Secretary of the Urban Planning Society of Shenzhen; Ms Tan Qiuming, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Urban Planning Association, accompanied by Guangzhou City Planning Association planners Ms Wu Qihua and Mr Wu Jiajiong; Mr Benny Chan, President of the Hong Kong Institute Urban Design, together with Mr Charles Li, Vice President, and Mr Barry Wilson, Immediate Past President; and Dr Zhang Yiheng, representative of the president unit of the Secretary General of Zhuhai Planning Exploration and Design Industry Association, alongside Mr Yang Yi, Secretary General of Zhuhai Planning Exploration and Design Industry Association.
 
Founded as a collaborative platform for urban design professionals, the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Alliance continues to serve as a catalyst for regional cooperation, connecting expertise from major cities in the Greater Bay Area.
