Recently, HKIUD organised a tour to the Award Winning “Kuk Po Vision” the conservation and revitalization of the village on Sunday, 31 May 2026 lead by Prof. WANG Weijen of HKU. Situated amidst the rural landscapes of Hong Kong’s Sha Tau Kok, Kuk Po preserves including a large area of mangrove wetlands and traditional Hakka settlements. The tour included a visit to the shaping of Kai Choi School Plaza, the renovation of Kuk Po Common, the establishment of the Art KukPo program, the construction of the Eco-toilet and the reconstruction of the “Ruin Garden” among others. Thanks again to Prof. Weijen for an amazing tour, I am sure all participants enjoyed and learnt while experiencing the rural landscape of Kuk Po Village and exploring some of the meaningful work being done by you and your team.
