On 20 Mar 2026, HKIUD organised a visit to Swire’s Award Winning Taikoo Place set in a multi-level high rise, high density mixed use development within a high quality lush tropical environment. The visit started off with a comprehensive presentation of the development of Taikoo Place by the Swire team followed by the tour to give an opportunity for participants to experience its innovative public spaces, landscape design with biodiversity as the core design principle, and community features that showcase creative sustainable placemaking and urban design, fostering wellbeing, connectivity, and a strong sense of place. Thanks to Swire Group, the tour was amazing and Tai Koo place sets the bar high, for sustainable urban design and sensitive placemaking for others in Hong Kong and the region to follow.
