HKIUD Happy Hour and AI by Preface

The HKIUD Happy Hour and AI Event by Preface was organised by the Programs & Events Committee (PEC) on the 21st of April 2026.
The event gave an opportunity for participants to embrace AI as part of the Happy Hour. The evening started with cocktails followed by a sharing session by Joey Chan of Preface. He helped to demystify the AI Revolution. Key points included how to: Move beyond the hype and understand where AI is heading based on OpenAI's 5 Stages towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI); Master the Language of AI by decoding terms like "GPT" into simple logic and ways to navigate the tech landscape with confidence; and Boost Your Daily Productivity by learning essential prompting techniques via various scenarios to level up AI output quality.

The engaging and interactive presentation was followed by the continuation of the networking session. Overall it was a very informative session in a relaxed environment, thanks to Preface who sponsored the presentation and the venue as well.
